Today I started off by reading a bunch of webmaster websites. There really is so much information out there it is quite hard to get your head around all of it. I came across a bunch of forums that had tips on how to improve web blogs, and monetize them. Also some people were talking about different income related streams of how to make the internet profitable for you.
My first order of business for the day was to check on my adsense account. Its still awaiting approval - I dont know how long it takes to get approved but im hoping not too long. I then submitted both my sites into the google webmaster tools
I have another blog site called www.calgaryconsumerbeware.com which is an outlet for my familys constant struggle for good quality retail service in Calgary, Canada.
After inserting something in the header part of both blogs I am able to see how many hits I am getting from both, however this particular blog hasnt been searched by google yet so maybe in a few days it show up.
My next order of business was to create a paypal account for my online activities, this allows me to be paid by the freelancing sites and by some affiliate vendors etc.
One of the posts I read on a forum is about website flipping. Basically you start a blog or a website, add a bunch of articles about the subject, monetize it with either adsense or some other affiliate marketing and then when starts making 1 - 2$ a day you can sell it at www.flippa.com or some alternative like it. It sounds pretty easy and I haven't tried it yet but maybe when i find some different niches I will.
Other than that I continued to search for an offline job, put up a bunch of ads on ebay of unneeded household items and worked through my chore list.
